Who We Are
-
Too many capable leaders, business owners, nonprofit directors, community organizers, are too often left to figure it out on their own.
They're handed a team, a budget, or a mission, but not the tools to lead it with real confidence.
At the same time, AI is reshaping how every business operates, and most small business owners don't have the time, background, or support to keep up.
Building Bridges exists to close both gaps at once.
-
Building Bridges Leadership and Advisory began with a single conversation between Bus Obayomi and Business & Community Leaders, about why so many good leaders were struggling in silence.
What started as informal coaching grew into a structured program, then a community, and now this organization.
Building Bridges Leadership & Advisory carries the core belief that with the right tools and the right community, leaders can build things that last.
Included in the belief is the goal to help leaders navigate AI and Data with confidence.
-
Every program, advisory engagement, and course we build starts from one question: what will this person actually be able to do differently on Monday morning?
This means small cohorts over passive lectures, real business problems over hypothetical case studies, and ongoing support over one-and-done workshops.
-
Our mission is to help leaders build stronger organizations, through practical leadership training and hands-on AI & data education that meets people where they are, not where the textbooks assume they'll be.
What We Do Today
Building Bridges works across three connected pillars:
Organizational & Community Leadership — coaching, training, and advisory for growing teams and community organizations
AI for Business — practical AI and data training for small business owners, no technical background required
Bridge AI Institute — a combined leadership and technical skills track for individual leaders building a business
-
Integrity — We do what we say we'll do.
Stewardship — We treat your time, team, and resources like they matter, because they do.
Service — Our success is measured by your results, not ours.
Growth — We believe every leader and every organization can grow with the right support.

Meet the Founder
Bus Obayomi is a technology and transformation leader, educator, public servant, and community builder whose work sits at the intersection of leadership, artificial intelligence, data, organizational transformation, and public impact.
Throughout his career, Bus has helped organizations navigate complex business and technology transformation initiatives, with a focus on using data, collaboration, and strategic planning to improve decision-making and organizational performance. His professional experience has shaped a practical philosophy of leadership: the strongest organizations are built when people, strategy, technology, and purpose move together.
That philosophy is the foundation of Building Bridges Leadership and Advisory.
Bus founded Building Bridges to create a platform where leaders, businesses, nonprofits, and emerging builders can develop the capabilities required for a rapidly changing world.
Through leadership development, executive and organizational advisory, AI and data education, workshops, and Bridge AI Institute, Building Bridges Leadership Foundation helps individuals and organizations move from ideas to implementation and from potential to measurable impact.
Bus completed an Executive Certificate in Technology and Public Leadership through Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education, including programs in Leadership in Emerging Technology: Security, Strategy, and Risk; Cybersecurity: The Intersection of Policy and Technology; and Leading in Artificial Intelligence: Exploring Technology and Policy. Those experiences further shaped his approach to the intersection of technology, governance, strategy, ethics, and leadership.
He also serves in higher education, bringing real-world conversations around leadership, technology, governance, and ethics into the classroom. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the combination of character and competence, innovation and ethics, strategy and empathy, and technology and humanity.
Beyond business and education, Bus has been deeply involved in civic and community leadership. His approach to public service reflects the same bridge-building philosophy that shapes his professional work: bringing diverse perspectives together, listening across differences, and focusing on long-term stewardship rather than short-term thinking.
Bus has written extensively about the importance of collaboration, generational leadership, responsible innovation, and ensuring communities are prepared for the future.
Across each area of his work, one theme remains consistent: building bridges between sectors, disciplines, people, and generations.
Bus believes the future will not be shaped by technology alone. It will be shaped by leaders capable of combining innovation with judgment, competence with character, and progress with responsibility.
Through Building Bridges Leadership and Advisory, his goal is to help develop more of those leaders—and equip them to build organizations and communities that last.
